Partiels

macOS

Partiels is compatible with macOS 10.15 and higher. Choose the version corresponding to the processor of your Mac (Apple menu → About This Mac).

Apple Silicon (.dmg)Intel (.dmg)

Open the disk image and drag the Partiels application into the Applications folder. Installer packages are also available: Apple Silicon (.pkg) and Intel (.pkg).

Windows

Partiels is compatible with Windows 10 & 11 (64-bit).

Windows installer (.exe)

Run the installer and follow the instructions.

Linux

Linux archive (.tar.gz)

Extract the archive and run the installation script. Without option, Partiels is installed in /opt/Partiels with the desktop integration and the Partiels command (root or sudo access required). The --home option installs Partiels in $HOME/opt/Partiels instead.

Each release also includes the manual as a PDF file and example documents and patches for Max and Pure Data.

Note

At startup, Partiels checks whether a new version has been released and offers to download it. You can disable this check via the main menu Help → Automatic Check for New Version.

Vamp plugins

Partiels uses Vamp plugins to analyse sounds. A collection of plugins based on audio engines developed at IRCAM and elsewhere is distributed for Partiels. You can install all of them with a single installer, or choose them individually on the Vamp plugins page.
